Sarah E. Wood, Ph.D. is a graduate of California School of Professional Psychology (1988.) She attended Mt. Holyoke College, Harvard University, and, (after two years of travel and self-discovery,) a semester at the University of California, S.C., where she completed her BA in 1983.
Dr. Wood has extensive experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and couples. Her primary specialties are working with depression, anxiety, addiction, personality disorders and trauma. She has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy by Behavioral Tech, Kelly Koerner, PhD, Linda Dimeff, PhD and Charles Swenson, MD. She uses the model that has been widely researched by DBT experts such as the founder, Marcia Linehan, Phd, and has been certified as a DBT expert by the Linehan Board.
